Hansruedi Köng succeeds as new Chairman of the Board of Directors
Vaduz, 18 January 2024. The Board of Directors of Neue Bank AG proposes to its shareholders that they elect Hansruedi Köng as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the ordinary General Meeting on 26 April 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders and the Financial Market Authority, Hansruedi Köng will succeed Prof. Dr. Manuel Ammann, who, as previously communicated, is stepping down as Chairman to take up his new position as President of the University of St. Gallen.
Hansruedi Köng studied business and economics at the University of Bern. After serving in various positions in the financial sector, he joined PostFinance Ltd in Bern in 2003 as Head of Treasury (including trading and investments) and as a member of the Executive Board. After serving as CFO from 2007 to 2011, Hansruedi Köng became CEO of PostFinance in 2012. Already in spring 2023, Hansruedi Köng announced that he would leave PostFinance at the end of February 2024, after a total of 21 years.

Apart from its new Chairman, the composition of the Board of Directors will remain unchanged. The Board of Directors consists of Vice Chairman Dr. Ernst Walch and members Willy Bürzle, Marc Sola, and Damian Wille.
