New CEO of NEUE BANK AG

The Board of Directors of NEUE BANK AG has announced that Marcel Lüchinger will take over as interim CEO, subject to approval by the FMA. The current CEO Pietro Leone will remain with NEUE BANK AG in an advisory capacity.

Marcel Lüchinger has headed the Family Office and Intermediaries divisions of NEUE BANK AG since September 2019. Lüchinger (54) started his career in investment banking at two major Swiss banks, advancing to the position of managing executive. He then moved into wealth management in a senior position at one of the largest Swiss private banks. For more than 10 years, he has been working for various Liechtenstein private banks as head of the external asset managers and private label funds divisions. “We are delighted that Marcel Lüchinger has agreed to serve in this role on an interim basis. Over the past few years, he has distinguished himself at our bank through his outstanding leadership qualities and closeness to the market. We are convinced that together with the Board of Directors, he will lead NEUE BANK towards future successes,” said Prof. Dr. Manuel Ammann, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The current CEO, Pietro Leone, has decided to pursue new challenges in his career. He will meanwhile continue to serve NEUE BANK AG in an advisory capacity. Pietro Leone joined the Executive Committee in 2007 and successfully expanded the Clients division. In June 2019, he took over as CEO. “Pietro Leone has been instrumental in driving developments in sustainability and digitalisation, laying the foundation for a successful future,” says Ammann. “We would like to thank him for his great dedication and wish him all the best.”
